Ponies & Puffins

The Ponies...

My love of ponies stems from childhood and I had my first Shetland pony Rosie, at the age of 7, so when I moved to Newfoundland I immediately fell in love with the Newfoundland Pony.  Both these breeds are such hardy animals, built to survive the harshest of climates. The picture below is of my friend's Shetland pony called Pierrie who sadly passed last year.

The Puffins...

Large colonies of puffins live off both our coastlines.  These iconic little birds, the "clowns of the sea" are know for their brightly coloured beaks and feet, and their comical flapping of wings.  I try to capture the essence of their funny little faces with bright eyes and prominent colours.
