My Work...
I love handbuilding, and the majority of my work is made using a porcelain paper flax clay which I finally fire to 1230 deg C, after it has been underglazed and bisque fired.
Most of my work is commission-based, however I do occasionally make extra items to fill the kiln, which are available for sale on my Facebook Shop
All my items are hand-made, unique, one off pieces, and although some may look similar, no two will ever be the same. I do not use, casts or moulds for my sculptures, and I currently use slump moulds for my plates, although I do now have a wheel to practice on ...yipee!
My one-of-a-kind sculptures have been added to a number of private collections globally, including a set of 50 puffins that now belong to the owner of the "Growlers" Ice Hockey team in Newfoundland (all individually sculpted and hand painted!).

My "Seal of Approval" was exhibited and sold at the Craft Council of Newfoundlands & Labrador's juried Members Exhibition,
I am also about to exhibit one of my Highland Cows called "The Moooody Cow" at a virtual exhibition hosted by the Scottish Potters Association at the end of October 2020. Visit nearer the time.
I also enjoy drawing and painting albeit not very well. However I did attend a workshop in Botanical Illustration at Inverewe Gardens, run by the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) and have tried to incorporate this art on my pottery. This is a range I am hoping to develop in the future...watch this space!
